Ghost Ghost
BIOGRAPHY
Ghost Ghost is an indie rock trio from NYC formed by long-time friends and singer/songwriters Kevin Peckham and Karl Ward. Peckham's melodic picked Rickenbacker bass lines and vocal growl are complemented by Ward's extremely dynamic electric guitar work (think Elvis Costello meets Thurston Moore) and deliciously complex vocal harmonies. They are joined by Peckham's former schoolmate Tim Ireland who forms the foundation for the band with his natural bent for eclectic dance-inspired rock beats.
Ward grew up in a barrio neighborhood of Houston, Texas, complete with early memories of drive-by shootings. After high school years spent drumming and singing in various Houston bands, Ward made his way to NYC and Columbia College, where he studied poetry and computer music. Peckham came up in rural New Hampshire and his path to NYC was long and complicated, by a Master's degree in English, a stint in presidential politics, and time spent working as a sound engineer at clubs in San Francisco and Oakland, California. The pair share in their songwriting a distinct, if dark vision, based on unusual childhoods in unusual places.
Ghost Ghost self-released their debut EP "Time is Gravity" in 2008, garnering much attention on the NYC club scene and hand-selected airplay by Matt Pinfield on the New York rock station WRXP. Ghost Ghost has released two projects in 2010. First was a follow-up EP "Of Innocence and Experience," which showcases the band at full volume. The second is a full length concept album (for RPM Challenge 2010) about poet Edna St. Vincent Millay titled "No Clothes on Ragged Island." The record was written in one day, recorded in one week, and displays an impressive range of styles and arrangements. Also slated for 2010 release is a top-secret full length concept album.

No Clothes on Ragged Island(2010)
These ten songs are based on the life of poet Edna St. Vincent Millay. The project was conceived by Kevin Peckham and Karl Ward on February 20, 2010, as part of the RPM Challenge. Each song is a scene from Millay's life, told in chronological order. All songs were written on February 21, just one day shy of Millay's 118th birthday. Arrangement, recording, and mixing were completed within one week. And to think it all started at an all-you-can-drink bloody mary brunch, several hours before a Ghost Ghost show.
